About LevelFinder
LevelFinder is a puzzle-solving platform designed to help players move from a screenshot or level number to the correct solution as quickly as possible. Instead of scrolling through dozens of YouTube results or guessing which walkthrough matches your board, LevelFinder does the matching for you.
The problem we solve
At its core, LevelFinder solves a simple but frustrating problem: you are stuck on a puzzle level, and you need the right walkthrough video — not just any video, but the one that matches your exact board layout. Most puzzle games randomize or shuffle their boards, so the same level number can look completely different from one attempt to the next. Searching by level number alone often leads to the wrong solution.
LevelFinder fixes this by letting you upload a screenshot of your current board. Behind the scenes, an AI-powered detection model analyzes the positions and types of game elements in your image, then compares that layout against a curated library of thousands of known board configurations. The system returns the closest matching walkthrough within seconds.
For players who already know their level number, LevelFinder also maintains a searchable level guide where every supported level has its own dedicated page with an embedded walkthrough video, difficulty rating, and navigation to adjacent levels.
How the matching technology works
The screenshot matching system analyzes the visual layout of your game board to identify the types and positions of key game elements. This analysis creates a compact representation of your board arrangement that can be compared against a library of known level configurations.
Each library entry represents a known board layout paired with its walkthrough video. The system scores every entry based on how closely it matches your screenshot and returns the best result. Most matches complete in under five seconds, even on mobile connections.
Supported games
LevelFinder currently supports Crowd Express, a popular mobile boarding puzzle game where players must guide passengers onto the correct vehicles without causing gridlock. The Crowd Express library contains over 4,000 level references spanning the full range of difficulty categories — from introductory walkthroughs to the hardest challenge stages.
The platform is designed to scale to additional puzzle games that share similar characteristics: board-based layouts, randomized configurations, and a large community of walkthrough creators. Each new game would follow the same pattern — a solver for screenshot matching, a browsable level guide, and dedicated solution pages for every known level.
How reference videos are used
Community walkthrough videos remain the property of their original creators and platform owners. LevelFinder embeds or links to these videos as external reference material to help players verify the correct board and solution path. The site does not host, re-upload, or modify any video content.
LevelFinder's original contribution is the detection model, the matching algorithm, the organization of the level library, and the written guidance on each page. These are the elements that make it possible to go from a screenshot to the right solution in seconds — something that browsing YouTube or scrolling through forums cannot replicate.
If you are a content creator and would like your videos removed from the library, or if you would like to be credited differently, please visit the contact page to submit a request.
What LevelFinder contributes
The walkthrough videos on LevelFinder belong to their original creators. What LevelFinder adds on top of that content is:
- An AI-powered detection pipeline that extracts board layout data from screenshots
- A fingerprint-based matching system that compares uploaded boards against thousands of known configurations
- A curated and deduplicated reference library organized by level number and difficulty
- Per-level pages with difficulty ratings, gameplay tips, and structured navigation
- A searchable guide interface that lets players jump directly to any supported level
These systems are the original work that makes it possible to go from a screenshot to the right walkthrough in seconds — something that browsing YouTube or scrolling through forums cannot replicate.
Who builds LevelFinder
LevelFinder is built by Ryan, an independent developer based in Tampa, Florida. The project started as a personal tool to solve a real frustration — spending more time searching for the right Crowd Express walkthrough than actually playing the game. That frustration turned into a full platform with AI-powered screenshot matching and a curated library of thousands of level solutions.
The site is free to use and supported by advertising.
Content sourcing policy
LevelFinder does not host walkthrough videos. The site indexes publicly available community walkthroughs, selects the clearest reference for each level, and removes duplicates so the screenshot solver can match board layouts reliably. Each reference is paired with metadata including the level number, difficulty category, and original video source.
Content creators can request removal or attribution changes at any time through the contact page.
